 Question Number 0508 Question: A 58 year old collapses suddenly at a football match he was watching. His hemoglobin falls rapidly and on admission at the Casualty department he is immediately transferred to the opertating theatre. On laparotomy is found that he has a leaking aortic aneurysm and unfortunately he passes away during the operation. His aorta is noted to be partially occluded by an atherosclerotic plaque.
