 Question Number 0625 Question: A 5 year old boy has a vomiting that occurs every 4-6 weeks, resulting in weakness for about 2 days. During attacks he is also noted to resist talking and swallowing, both of which cause more nausea and vomiting. He often complains of headache and dizziness. He later becomes quiet and just wants to sleep when not vomiting. He also has a lot of drooling at this time. On examination he appears pale and has rings under his eyes. These symptoms are suggestive of: a) psychogenic b) achalasia c) cyclical vomiting d) mesenteric adenitis e) Pertussis syndrome
